Recruitment

A recruitment plan is a necessity in building a team of volunteers. You should allow potential volunteers to inquire online, see volunteer opportunities online and easily begin the process of them becoming a volunteer for your organization online. Take advantage of email communication, and work to minimize phone calls.

Simple Sign Up

Provide volunteers with an easy to use system. Give them the opportunity to sign up for volunteer opportunity reminders. Provide sufficient info on what the volunteer can expect when they arrive to the opportunity.

Survey

Provide a survey for volunteers to complete after a volunteer opportunity is completed. Send out automated acknowledgements to your volunteers. Thank the volunteer and review their feedback. Incorporate these results into improving the volunteer experience moving forward.
