Can that be right? Is it even remotely possible that reporting in your CRM can be simple? Friends, it IS possible! However, you have to look at what else the CRM option offers that leads to better reporting for your nonprofit. Reporting cannot be avoided, so having it be simple is considered a necessity here at DonorLynk.

Yesterday, we dug deeper into the importance and helpfulness of custom fields and layouts. THIS is what can help you report successfully on the triumphs at your organization. The ability to create a custom field, just for the purpose of having it as a set filter for your report results is major time saver, and can guarantee that you get the right end result the first time you make the report, and not the third or thirteenth time.

In addition to making sure custom fields can aid in reporting simply at your nonprofit, also check into the ability to schedule your report to run at certain times and send results directly to your inbox (or anyone else’s!) at that chosen time. Scheduling your report to pull new data in and update without you having to prompt it is also, you guessed it, a major timesaver! Do you see what our aim is here? We want you to spend more time making a difference, and letting your chosen CRM take the time to do the rest.

Lastly, if it’s a field, there’s a way. Meaning, if it’s a field in your database, then you can report on it. Tying this in with custom fields, or simply preset fields, we encourage you to make sure your ENTIRE system can be reported on. When push comes to shove, you should be able to build a report from scratch in just a few minutes. Ease of use in this initial report building process will also, say it with me, save time!
